Sandra Wilson - Color Guard Director
​
Sandra is from South Lake Tahoe, California, and she moved to Summerville, South Carolina, during 8th grade. She joined the Summerville High School Color Guard her freshman year, as well as their winter guard. Sandra was a featured soloist in multiple Summerville winter shows in open class, including “Great American Novel” and “Yearning to Breathe Free.” She performed at ESPN Varsity Sports, and her team won the Disney competition. During all four years of high school, her 5A marching band placed 3rd at the SCBDA state championships. Sandra comes from a background of competitive dance and gymnastics, winning multiple national titles, which included travel all over the United States and even competing and winning against the Abby Lee Dance Company.
After completing high school, Sandra went on to the University of South Carolina, where she is actively working on her major in biological sciences with plans to attend medical school. She taught at Summerville High School and led their cadet team to first place in 2022 with their show “Broken and Beautiful.” Sandra has gone on tour with the Crossmen Drum and Bugle Corps and is also a member of the University of South Carolina Color Guard.
